Hi! My name is Katie Jackson and I'm here at Studio Bleu Dance Center in Ashburn, Virginia. Today, I'm going to show you how to tap dance. We're going to start off with the Running Man Tap Step. Now we're going to break it down slowly.
Step forward with your right foot and normally our arms move like as if you're running. I'm going to put my weight on this foot and I'm going to do a pull back onto my toe, so I'm brushing onto my toe and then I step, same thing with the other foot. I'm going to pull back, land on my toe so my weight is here and I come down. You're going to make sure your feet are spread a little bit apart, that way to help dance.
Pull back, step, pull back, step, pull back, step, pull back, step. As you speed it up, it should sound like this. Now I break it down for you one more time. Step, pull back, land on your toe and step. You're going to put your weight on your left foot, pull, back, step on your toe and down. Speed it up one more time and that's how you do a Running Man Tap step.
Next, I'm going to show you how to do a Riff.
