Hi! My name is Katie Jackson and I'm here at Studio Bleu Dance Center in Ashburn, Virginia. Today, I'm going to show you how to tap dance. Now I'm going to demonstrate how to do a Syncopated Pull Back. Now I'm going to break it down for you.
We're going to step, step, make sure our knees are bent. We're going to brush back with our right foot, pull back and switch and step. So we brush, put our weight in our heels with our left foot, pull back and switch feet and step. Brush, pull back step, brush, pull back, step, brush, pull back, step. Now when we speed it up, it'll sound like a horse galloping.
Make sure your feet stay small and imagine that you're tapping in your little box. We'll break it down one more time. Brush back with your right foot, pull back and switch with your left and step. Brush, pull back, step, brush, pull back and switch step, brush, pull back, step, brush, pull back, step. Fast one more time and that's how you do a Syncopated Pull Back.
Next, I'm going to show you how to do the Running Man Tap Step.
