My name is Roger Bennett Riggle and today we are exploring the world of advanced tap dancing. This is a little combination with the Buffalo and the Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step that we just learned. At the end of the combination we are going to do a little turn. The turn involves starting with a Riff. A Riff is brushing your toe and the heel, kind of almost in one motion. This is my assistant, Allison Taylor, and she is going to demonstrate for you a Riff, and its really kind of fast, so watch.
So you are just going to brush the edge of the toe, and you are going to put down the heel. So you are kind of point flex the foot real quick, okay, that's a Riff. Then we are going to bring the foot over the left foot, so we Shuffle over, and we drop, Shuffle, drop, and then as she turns, she is going to spin herself around, she is going to relevate up on both toes, and she is going to drop heel-heel, and then toe-toe. That's a little bit hard to do in slow motion, but as you are turning, you drop your heel, right left, and your drop your toes, right left. So this combination really is a Riff, brush, toe, and relevate, heel-heel, toe-toe, and the rhythm is a Riff, brush, toe, and heel, toe-toe. 5, 6, 7, slowly, and a Riff, brush toe, heel-heel, toe-toe, okay.
You can also drop your left heel in it, so you can go a Riff heel, brush, toe, and a Riff heel, brush toe, and relevate, drop your heels, heel-heel, toe-toe. Let's do it up the tempo, 5, 6, 7, and a Riff heel, brush toe, again, 6,7, very good, very good. Now, let's go back to the Buffalo combination. So we are going to do three buffaloes; Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step, and then we are going to do three to the left, and in the middle we are going to put two Falap ball changes, and then we are going to turn. Here we go. 5, 6, 7, and a Buffalo one, a Buffalo two, a Buffalo three, Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step, a Buffalo one, a Buffalo two, a Buffalo three, let's stop there, and let's add in four Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Steps to make it interesting.
Right foot, Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step, Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step, Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step, Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step, Falap ball change, Falap ball change, a Riff heel, brush toe. It's a great, wonderful, impressive combination. Let's do it for you one more time up to tempo, okay. Ready, 5, 6, 7, and a Buffalo one, four in a row, Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step, Shuffle Heel, Shuffle Step, and Falap ball change, Falap ball change, a Riff. There you have the turn after the Buffaloes.
