The Usual and Unusual Foods in Vietnam
This is a traditional Vietnamese soup. I think it’s pronounced pho and what they do there’s chicken in it noodles etcetera. They do chicken broth and this says what they do right here over the whole thing and chalice, garlic, wine and whatever and I found out unfortunately I didn’t understand why I can’t eat the noodles. Well, it’s because you're supposed the noodles with chopsticks dough and used spoons for the soup. Now I understand. They’re trying to serve the lunch today, soft beef.
Male: Yeah, beef cake with lemon grass.
Sheila: Okay and what’s behind it.
Male: And behind it is the grilled pork.
Sheila: What chicken is it a duck? What is that?
Male: Chicken.
Sheila: Oh, that is the morning glory with garlic, here’s my pho for breakfast. I even added some chilies, beautiful. This is all over the place brings intact and everything inside it, intestines and now might quite chew this out. She keeps turning the bees, turning them up.
Male: We keep this alive. We call it souvenir.
Sheila: It’s snake meat I guess. They had snakes earlier today but they’re already sold live snakes.
Male: That’s just from the snakes.
Sheila: It’s not rice wine. It’s all corn wine very, very strong.
Male: 50.
Sheila: 52 proof.
Male: Your eyes will burn when smelling it hurts.
Sheila: This is monkey. I’ve never seen before, I never want to see again.
