I still fell uncertain. I feel that self wounding for beauty might not be ok, but my piercing has long healed. It is a nose piercing, which like earrings are mentioned in the Torah. Removing it is not a big deal, but I don't feel convinced that it's necessary.

Sociatal conformity in morals is dangerous (ala Hitler). You never mentioned the moral standard for truth and morals is the Bible. Christians believe the New Testament, although a direct product morally for the most part comes from the Commandments, is far more specific with morals that are defined in terms of the words of Jesus, the Apostle, and prophets. That's not so bad. Thank of the majority of buildings in DC that have inscriptions directly from the Ten Commandments. Once we give over the Bible as the standard for truth, law, and truth and follow the dictates of Darwin, our society is abominable (Obamination). HP

i agree with your veiw on peircings but not your veiw on tatooing. i am an active jew in my comminity and at our highschool of jewish studies we actually just had a class on this topic. and you are allowed to have tatoos, it is not against the Torah or Mishna infact my Rabbi has a tatoo. it is legal as long as you get it sone for you and not someone else. like you dont do it because its the latest trend but you do it because of your personal preferances.
