Welcome to the gear review section again guys. Today we’re going to take a look at the
Taylor 110 Acoustic Guitar. No electronics no cutaway just straight up acoustic guitar so
your going to feature some benefits, some pros and cons. Let’s see how much it costs and
everything. It’s 599 that’s regular street prize when it comes to kick back too so that’s
kind of cool it’s prequel but its’ really good quality gig by two’s and fall apart on you
after a year or whatever.
As far as the wood goes in this guitar it’s a solid sitka spruce top really nice that’s kind of
what gives it it’s nice full sound it’s the solid top and I did some research for you guys
and actually found out how to say it sapelli. I was calling it sapple for years just to kind
of the back and sides are made of it’s laminated but it’s sapelli like belly and basically
it’s kind of taking over the place in mahogany. Not only take that over but it’s a cheaper
kind of an eastern mahogany that’s why they’re calling it eastern mahogany and it’s
similar to it in look and sound of the lows are supposed to be a bit different have some
different characteristics than mahogany but its’ similar and it’s really cool because they
use this and now it’s sort of just chopping the mahogany until it’s all used up so
hopefully the mahogany supply will get back up and the sapelli is really cool.
Tell me when you should go take it out if you’ve never played it before. Same thing, the
next made of the same things only and believe it or not the fret board and the bridge are
both ebony and now those kind surprise the fine length because I thought that will add a
pretty good chunk of change to the price but apparently not a taylor and guess they can
crank it on the automation high enough to where that doesn’t really affect the price too
much. But this guitar I really like it. I like a broader sounding acoustic but I don’t like it
too be it to be tini like some guitars out there down the bottom in.
This is kind of a happy medium between the thinner jinglier guitars that you here that are
just all high and then like a Martin like just a tunnel low and this is like a nice in between
like right in the middle.

And it’s pretty dynamic too it gets really good step on manic and stuff without having to
try too hard to do it so if you’re looking for a guitar with a solid top and it’s really
responsive and generally comes set up well right of the box. Go take a look and taylor
one tin and see if it kind of suit your needs in the suture taste so if you like something a
little bit darker like a Gibson or Martin you might not like it but if you like something a
little bit bright the sauce and the low end in it you would probably like this guitar.
