Hello again, my name is Rodney Reynolds and welcome to another video review. Today I'm looking at the ATI TV Wonder Pro Remote Control edition card.
What is included in this package is an ATI input connector. One end goes in to the card and the other end you can plug S video, composite video and audio into. They also include sticky back Velcro, which means you could put this pretty much anywhere. They Include as well and audio cable, one end goes into your sound card in the other end goes into the card. They also include a USB receiver. This goes plugged into your computer’s USB port. Here we have four triple A batteries for this remote control. They included installation CD, a user manual and the TV Wonder Pro PCI card.
This product has a 125 channel TV tuner, stereo audio, video capture, digital VCR with Video Soap. Now Video Soap is a technology that allows for clearer and crisper video files. You can also preview channels. It has an S video input, close captioning, real time video compression TV magazine, TV browser, you can also zoom in and zoom out on video. Video desktop, you can schedule viewing and that means of course you can record TV programs at any time. And a very neat program is included called Guide Plus interactive program guide. And let’s not forget the wireless remote control. And of course with that remote control, you can control the TV, volume, channel, and all kinds of other things.
Right here is the actual TV tuner. And right here is where you connect the cable TV into. The audio–video connections right here, and the audio connection’s right here. Remember, you go from this to your sound card in. there is also an internal audio connection right here.
Now let’s have a closer look at this remote control. At the very top of this remote control, you have an LED and that will light up when you touch any of the keys of the remote control. You also have a power button and two programmable buttons and you can program these buttons by right clicking on the ATI remote Wonder icon in the system try. You also a TV, DVD, web, media library and the drag button and as well a thumb pad. Now this thumb pad acts like a mouse on a mouse pad except your thumb is on this pad right here. And when you move your mouse around of course, your cursor’s going to move around the screen. Well, if you move your thumb around on this, the cursor will move around the screen. You also have a left click and a right click button. You can also increase and decrease the volume and increase and decrease the channel, and a mute button. And in the center of the remote control are numeric keys. You have an open root menu for when you're playing DVDs and open set up menu and two more programmable buttons. As well as a toggle TV on demand mode button and a maximize/restore the foreground window button. And you have a number of buttons here in the center, up/down/right/ and the left and OK in the center. You also have two more programmable buttons as well as a rewind, a fast forward, record, play, exit or stop and the pause button.
Getting this product operational is just a few simple steps. Step one is to properly select the cable of antenna for your region and then hit the auto scan. It will then find all the programs in your particular area. You can also add a password. Finally, go ahead and select the default recording format. Either ATI/VCR, mpeg, AVI, or Windows Media format and you're finish.
And when everything is installed. You have a number of options here within the TV program. Changing the channels, increasing and decreasing the volume, you can recall a channel. You can also preview all the channels in your particular area. You can also get TV listings which I will be showing you a little later on. You can also record what's on this channel right now, you can see this will pop up. Of course you can play that back a little later on. You can also capture a still at any point and then go back and preview and do what you need to do with those a little later on. Also right here you can have close caption and you can see here that will appear on the screen. And you have parental controls where you can set, you can switch also to the composite in or the S video in. and with this, you can resize it. Really to any size that you want. As you can see, very easily. And you can also of course move this around the screen to anywhere you want it. Or you can just simply have it full screen.
Guide Plus is a program that will download all the listings in your particular area. First of all, install the program. It will then ask you to enter your particular information, it will then go ahead and download all the listings in your particular area. And once it’s done, it looks something like this. You can see it’s very convenient. You can see what's on now by clicking through the different channels. It will appear here at the top left. You can also right click on any channel and to watch it, we’ll go full screen then. You can record or add it to your favorites or you can see details on that particular channel. Also up here you got a number of different things, log, stations. You can see the titles, actors, categories, movies, sports. You can do searches and you can see what you have scheduled. So you can really see that this program does make the TV tuner in this product very useful.
This product comes with all kinds of things like a remote control, the ATI input connector so you can connect all kinds of things into this card. Very easy to install the software. Software is stable and also this card has fantastic TV quality. Overall, this is a kickass product.
