Hello again! My name is Rodney Reynolds and welcome to another video review. Today I'm looking at the Altec Lansing XA2021 2.1 Speaker System.
What's included in this package is a User’s Manual, a 3.5 millimeter audio stereo cable, an AC power adapter, a subwoofer and 2 satellite speakers. They also include wall mounts for these satellite speakers. Now let’s go over the specifications on this particular product. Well, the sound pressure level is 95 db. The total continuous power is 17 watts. The front satellite speakers are 3.5 watts each at 8 ohms and the frequency is 165 to 20000 hertz. The subwoofer is 10 watts at 8 ohms and the frequency response is 20 to 20000 hertz. Each one of these satellite amplified speakers has one 3 inch full range driver and the dimension for each one of these satellite speakers is 4.5 X 3.4 X 7.1 inches. The subwoofer has one 5 and a quarter inch woofer and the dimension on this is 11.2 X 5.9 X 7.3 inches. At the right hand side of the subwoofer there is a volume knob, you can also adjust the subwoofer level, a couple of stereo connections, one right here and an auxiliary right here. Also a headphone’s jack and the connection for the right and left speaker are color coded and they go right here. And the power, AC adapter would get connected right here. Now let’s have a listen to this speaker system. First, I’ll increase the volume all the way up to max and then the subwoofer level all the way up to maximum.
This speaker system is certainly not going to rock the house but for the price they do offer great sound quality. I should also mention that each one of the satellite speakers is shielded and remember you can plug pretty much anything into this, whether it be an MP3 player or a gaming console.
