Hello again, my name is Rodney Reynolds and welcome to another video review. Today, I am looking at the Cooler Master Ammo 533 LAN Party Case. At the front top of the case, there is the power, reset, power and hard drive LED. At the front, there are five 5 ¼ inch drive bays, one 3 ½ inch drive bay and at the bottom a 120mm fan just on the inside. At the bottom right are two USB ports, a FireWire port, a microphone and headphone jack.
At the top of the case there are number of ventilation holes and a rubber handle which holds up to 25kg and there’s one more ventilation on the left side panel. At the back of the case, at the very top is where a power supply will get installed, they included an IO shield plate. You can install an optional 80, 90 or 120 mm fan and at the bottom are the 7 expansion slots. They also have 4 thumb screws; two on each side panel.
This is a mid sized tower case, so there isn’t a tremendous amount of room to work on the inside and the motherboard tray is not removable. This case has a tool less design for both installing cards in the expansion slots or drives in any other drive bays.
As I’ve mentioned earlier, there are five external 5.25-inch drive bays and one external 3 ½ inch drive bay. There is also an additional 4 internal 3.5-inch drive bays. Installing a drive in the 5.25-inch drive bays is quite simple.
First of all, carefully slip the 5.25-inch drive into place then push this forward and lock it in the place. When installing a hard drive, you’ll need to use the grills that are included. Put one on each side of the drive and slip the drive into the drive bay.
Now have a listen to the stock cooling. Remember, this is one Blue LED 120mm fan, very quite at the front of the case. However, I would strongly suggest installing a 120mm fan at the back of the case for optimum case air flow.
This case is very rugged looking. It has a handle at the top which is perfect of LAN parties. It’s steel, so it’s tough but it’s also pretty petty and it comes with a number of features. Overall this is a great product.
