Hello again, I’m Rodney Reynolds and welcome to another unboxing video. Today, I’m looking at the Cooler Master Storm Scout Case. You see this nice white cloth here? Well, I wanted to stay white so what I do is tape the bottom of the box with that very wide packaging clear tape and if you do that you won’t transfer the dirt that’s on the case box to the white cloth. The other option is do not use packaging tape on the bottom of the box but you just use a micro fiber cloth or another cloth to wipe down the bottom of the case box or any box for that matter.
When these boxes are in the carrier trucks, they get extremely dirty so you have to really do something if you’re laying them on a cloth like this. Cooler Master has really gone with some aggressive styling on this case box, a massive image here on the front of the case with its name scout just below it. On the right side is an overall image of the case. On the back lists the case features as well as some images and on this side are the specifications.
All of this information is very useful if you are thinking about purchasing a product. I like products that have boxes like this because you could look at the box, look at the pictures, look at the specifications and the features and make a decision whether you want to purchase or not. Okay, let’s open the box. Remember when you’re cutting any box, don’t cut too deep because you could damage the product inside. And when I open the cases, always flip upside down so open the top and then just flip the case upside down like so and fold the box of. This is very typical for a case, you’ve got some packaging material on each side in this case on top and at the bottom and the case and the plastic bag and there are also plastic, thin plastic and it looks like there’s also plastic on the inside of this window.
Let’s just have a really quick look at this product. I’ll have much more information in an upcoming video review. At the top here, you’ve got a massive handle, great for transporting the case, also an exhaust fan. Here at the front is the power reset button external Serial ATA port and looks like a power LED, hard drive activity LED and microphone headphone jack, four USB 2.0 ports. And at the front are drive bays and on the side is a nice window, looks like I can put a couple of fans here as well. And on the back is another fan. This is where the motherboard’s I/O shield plate would go, the expansion slots and extra ventilation. And at the bottom is where you would put a standard ATX power supply and they have thumbscrews on each side panel.
