My name is Rodney Reynolds and this is yet another video review. Today, I will be looking at the FrontX Computer Extension Port. Let’s now swing over and have a look at this device.
Okay. So, this is the FrontX Computer Extension kit and as you can see here, these are once included with a kit. This is the headset. This is for the audio in. This is for the microphone over here and this is the game port. This in my case, I got the USB as well. Now, the way this works like I show you here you set up this with the fellow sliders for the way you want it. And then you start popping this in. You could see this is very simple. Pop in the USB and continue here with the mic, with the audio in and with the headset.
Now, of course the neat thing with this is that it gives you the ability of staying away from the back of your computer for the most part. I’m sure most of you agree that there’s nothing worst from calling behind your desk plugging the mic in and out for an audio in and out or headsets in and out or even USB devices and even game ports in and out so it’s a very handy device certainly for that capability. Very, very convenient. Let me now actually install this into my computer system and show you how this is hook up.
Okay. So now, this has been installed, just a simple couple of screws right here. We install it in the front of course and you put all of the cabling through the computer system so this here all are the cables and what you do is you see it through and you’ve actually seen and through underneath in a spare open slot here in the back. You can see all the cables coming in through. And you can plug these connectors into your devices on the back here. And I’ll just plug everything up here and we can have another look.
Okay now, so now that all of these connectors have been plugged in, I’ll just go through these. And these are all color coded as well. Most of the new sound cars makes it very simple to plug all of this into. This is the audio in. This is the mic. And this is the headset. Of course this is the gaming port and up here this is the USB. So now, instead of having to come back here to plug all these things into, you just plug it into the front of their computer. Very handy indeed.
So again, here to have a closer look at the front. This is the gate which actually comes to the device and it’s free handed to just—when you don’t have anything plugged in, it closes up neatly and keep dust out.
So, if you solve this video review, I give this FrontX Computer Extension Port a nine out of 10. Overall, this is an excellent idea, putting things in the front is certainly a lot easier than having to reach around the back every single time you want to plug a mic in, a USB device and so on. So, this makes very handy. Certainly, I recommend picking one of this up. Again, my name is Rodney Reynolds. Please visit my website at www.3dgameman.com.
