Hello again, my name is Rodney Reynolds and welcome to another video review. Today, I am looking at the HIS X800GTO IceQ II Turbo 256MB PCI Express Video Card. Included in this package is a user’s manual software, an S-Video cable, a mini DIN/2 RCA, HDTV cable, a DVI to VGA adaptor, an expansion slot plate and the video card. This PCI express video card is based on the ATIR 480 chip. The cooler on this card is quite large and it’s comprised of a plastic top with a blower style fan.
This fan pulls in cool air and forces it across the heat sink then ports that warm air out the back of the case. It’s an excellent design that works very well and it is used on most HIS video card products. Now, the fan is also temperature controlled which means it automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the video processing unit temperature to achieve the best cooling possible.
Now, let’s have closer look at the heat sink. It has an aluminum top as you can see quite clearly here. And our copper base which comes in direct contact with the core and the memory on this side of the card, there is also a heat spreader for the memory on the back of the card. The core speed on this product is 500Megahertz and the 256MB GDDR3 memory is 1000Megahertz. Remember, those speeds are possible with the included iTurbo software. It comes with 12 pixel pipelines, six vertex engines, the fill rate is six giga texels per second and the memory bandwidth is 32GB per second. This video card is packaged with the latest technologies, too many to mention in this video but let me cover the main ones.
Smart Shader HD, Smooth Vision HD, 3DC, HyperZHD, Video Shader HD and it supports Direct X and Open GL. And remember this card is Crossfire Multi-GPU ready and here’s how it works. First, start with a crossfire ready motherboard then insert a crossfire ready video card. Now, install a crossfire addition video card that is capable of multi-GPU enabling technology. Finally, connect video cards to the monitor for an ultimate gaming experience. This card also comes with two video connections, a VGA and DVI and also a video output connection. The card is capable of dual display and this means using two displays rather than one will immensely increase workspace.
As you can see from the results, this particular card does perform very well. Now, of course it’s not the highest end card on the market so the best market results are not extremely hot. This card has a lot of features, plenty of technology and an affordable price. Overall, this product is kick ass.
