Tech Review - JULI MP3 Player
Hello again, my name is Rodney Reynolds and this is yet another video review. Today I will be looking at JULI MP3 Player. This is the product and this is the strap that comes with it, the USB cable. Of course you would use this to transfer data and the headphones, the manual and the software required and of course the unit itself.
Taking a closer look here at the products, on the left hand side you got a feature here called hold. This feature is actually for when the player is playing like I start a song here for example and if I click hold once I do that I do not have the ability to interfere with the string of music from touching any of the buttons. This is a fantastic feature to have included in this product.
Going over some of the features here on the front at the top right here you have play. On the right hand side right here you have fast forward or skip forward, on the left hand side you have reverse or rewind or skip backward. On the bottom left hand corner you have a loop, loop all songs once. Next to that is loop all songs continuously, mute, EQ and the EQ has different settings for things like pop, jazz, rock, so there's all those setting where at the touch of the button here and of course if your are and or if you need more light you can just press the lamp feature here and this will illuminate the display.
On the right hand side here you have the volume controls. At the top is increase the volume, at the bottom decrease the volume. If you look at the back of the unit here there's a little slip of gate and inside of this is the battery and to the back left right here that is the connection where you connect the supplied USB cable to your computer system.
Once the battery is removed you could see that right here is where the cable gets connected to this product and on the cable there is a little arrow there at the top. This indicates the correct way to connect this thing in and if I press it in here you can see it snaps in and it does hold quite well. It does have some screws on the bottom of the cable itself which allow it to not be pulled out accidentally, of course you to kind of tip it up and pull it out and it does connect quite easily then.
Let me now connect this product to the computer and show you the software which is used with this device. This is software which comes with this product. It’s very, very easy to use and I'm actually using Windows XP. It does work quite well on that operating system. Up here you have your hard drive and this is all the other drives that you have here so you just go ahead and find the particular files on your hard drive and of course then it just a mater of taking them. You can do a preview if you want to by clicking up here and if you like that particular song you can just stop it and then you can just drag it over and as you can see here as simple as this. You just drag and drop into this device.
You can see some of the songs which I have on the player. These are the three that which comes with the player itself and I have a few more here. You can see how much megabytes are used and how much are remaining. And also there's a little red dot right here which tells you if your product is actually installed correctly. So this software is a breeze to use.
Overall an excellent product, very small, very compact, very lightweight at only 38 grams, that’s 1.3 ounces. This thing is really, really exceptionally like probably the lightest and smallest, the most compact MP3 player right now. Also this is very inexpensive, very affordable for MP3 player and as well the software does work very well. It didn’t crack for me, it’s very simple to understand and that is crucial to any product, the software.
The only negative that I can find with this is it is a 32 megabyte version. Depending on the bit rate, the audio quality that you want to have is very limited. I would recommend if you want to get higher quality audio and import it into this product and play and give the 64 megabyte version of this. That however is the only thing that was a drawback with this particular model wasn’t being 32 megabytes. It is a little low in megabytes.
However, you might like it. This might be adequate for your needs. With 32 megabytes you can probably fit 10 to 15 to 20 songs in this product which is a lot of minutes of listening to music so it depends on what you're doing, if you're jogging for 20 or 30 or 40 minutes well that’s fine, if you're at the bus or in a car you're traveling for hours then this is something where the megabytes might be initiative for you.
In saying that, I give this product an eight out of ten. Again, my name is Rodney Reynolds and this has been another video review. Be sure to check back soon. I will have a new one for you then. Also check out my website at www.3dgameman.com and while you're there check out the forums. Until the next time, take care.
