Tech Review - Magic Fleece Noise Killer
Hello again and welcome to another video review. Today, I’ll be looking at the Magic Fleece Noise Killer.
And this is the product. It’s basically noise absorbing material. And basically what you do is you cut the sheets for the front, the back, the bottom, the top and both the sides as well as the slot fillers, you cut those pieces out. And once they’re cut out, you basically peel off the back and stick them to the back. Of course what you want not to do is if you do not want to cover up any kind of holes better than holes or fan intake or exhaust fans.
In my case, I’m using a Lian Li case and the case that I’m using is PC 60. And basically I have to just cut it down a little bit just to fit in the side of the case. As you can see here, it fits right in the side of the case as well as the other side. And now, I’ll show you the front.
Now, this is the front of a Lian Li case and as you can see there’s some cutting required. So what I have done here is just put this like so, went through the other side and just marked it out. Once that’s done, you can just go ahead and start the cutting. Once the cutting is done of course peel off right here. To here is that you want to stick and just stick them on.
So once you have cut out the piece or pieces that you require, of course and something I shouldn’t say is when you’re using any kind of very sharp knife like a box cutter, you certainly want it to be extremely careful as it is very, very sharp.
Now, once this is done for instance, I’ll use this as an example. Just pop this in. You kind of want it to fit very tight. Of course first what you would be doing is just taking off the sticky back and then of course place it down. Once it’s stuck, it’s installed.
So, once the sticky back is off, you have to be extremely careful when you put this down because and believe me when it’s stuck, you can’t move it. So, be very careful. When you’re putting it down, make sure it’s in the right place and then press hard to just firmly seed it and stick it and you can do this of course to the sides, the top, the bottom and all of the areas of the case where you think that noise would potential be going through.
As well here, you could go ahead and fill the slots in the front. These are Lian Li pieces here. And one, I basically put some fleece noise killer into and let me do the other one now. So again, just peel off the back, pop it in and just press down to firmly secure it. And of course let’s not forget the 3.5-inch slot fillers.
So the big question here is “Does this material work?” And the simple answer to that question is yes. However, it will not completely eliminate the noise on a system. It’s really designed to be put everywhere. That’s very important. You want to remember that you want to put it on this side, the top, the bottom, the front, the fillers as well as the back. So, you want to put it everywhere. That’s extremely important. Once you have done that, it will cut down on the noise.
Certainly good if you have a system that you have maybe a 7000+rpm, a 60 millimeter fan that’s really scrumming inside that case. This material will help a lot in that situation.
Overall though, this is a good idea, certainly easy to install, not very expensive and there’s enough material and this can really to do two cases. And certainly of you do screw up, you’ve got lots of material to cut out and do it again. Overall, I give this product and 8.5 out of 10.
