Tech Review - Santa Cruz 6-Speaker PCI Sound Card Hello again my name is Rodney Reynolds and this is yet another video review, today I will be looking at the Santa Cruz Sound Card. This is the product and included we have a manual, some software as well as drivers, and audio cables. This is the cable that goes from your CD-ROM drive to the sound card. And as well as the sound card itself, let me now have a look at this card in greater detail. Go over some of the features that are on this card of course, this is a PCI card. Right here, you have the TADN this is for internal modem audio right here. Right here you have the CD-in and right here you have the Auxiliary-in. Right here you have the CB. This is the SPDIF-in and right here at the bottom, we have an option where you can actually put on a wave tables. Synthesizer Dotter card and you can plug it in right here. At the very back here at the very top we have what’s called Versajack, this jack has a few functions. You can actually plug this directly for connection to digital speakers and DOLBY Digital decoders. Also this can be used for an analog line out, you can plug this into and use the SUB or the Center Channel would be from this jack right here. Right here is the MIC-in; this here is the line-in. Right here we have the font speaker. This is the front-pout, right here we have the rear speaker. This of course is the rear out. And right here at the very bottom, we have the joystick media port. And with this, this and this, of course you got your center, your base right here. You got your fronts right here, you’ve also got your rears right here, so two, Fourteenth Amendment, six. You got six speaker audio; right here is the control panel. In here you can go and change such things as your speaker modes. If you have a six speaker, a 5.1, you can sub at that. Two speakers, if you are using digital 4.1, you can use that as well so all kinds of options from here for that. You can also adjust the Master Volume and in here there are a few little neat features. You have the option of panning left and right. You have also a faint option, front and back, you have a Master Volume right here. You also have adjustment right here for your center channel; you can increase or decrease the volume on that. You can also increase and decrease the volume on your Sub. Also in here we have a mixer; right here you can adjust the different levels of your Microphones, your INS, and your outs on your sound card. Right here is the EQ; you can go in here of course and adjust your Equalizer settings. There are some presets settings as you can see here at the top. You can select those or you can go in here manually and adjust them as you wish. And right here we got an FX Tab; you can go in there of course and have or choose what effect you want. Some of are small room, bathroom, big hall, arena, and so on. So, many selections there and right here we got the Wave Table Synthesizer settings, you can go in here and adjust things like the voices, the maximum hardware notes. Maximum software notes, you can also go down at the bottom there and select a voice allocation. Also in here you got options like the 3D Stereo Enhancement, the multiple wave-out devices. You also got to need feature called Acoustic Echo Cancellation, no matter if you are planning your favorite game. Your favorite music, no matter what kind of audio experience you want with this sound card, it will deliver. Overall, an excellent product, it is very affordable, software works. There are no conflicts at all, I've been using this sound card now for a couple of weeks and I've found no conflicts whatsoever. So it’s good news there, also if you are playing games, if you are doing DVD’s or if you are doing music, MP3s or whatever kind of music you will be doing. Certainly, you will enjoy the really high quality of audio form this. One thing I should say though and this is very important, no matter how good your sound card is, you need a speaker system set-up to back that quality sound card up.
