Tech Review - TKO 2002 - IN-Win Q500N 24 Inch Tower Case
Hello, again my name is Rodney Reynolds and this is yet another video review. Today, we’ll be looking at the TKO 2002 IN-WinQ500N 24-inch tower case. Let's now swing over and have a look. Okay, so as you're looking at here now is the case itself. We have a look at the front of this case. You have your reset button here. These of course are your lights for your hard drives and the LED for the power on. You’ve got your five and 5.25 inch bays. As well as one 3.5-inch bay up here and conveniently located at the top right is the power button.
I really like cases that actually have the buttons at the top right. For the simple fact that most computer systems are on the floor and having them up on top it certainly makes a lot easier than having them embossed on down here and if we look at the side of the case here, you’ll notice two intake fans. These are 92 millimeters on the side, so you’ve got some nice air coming in here and if we look on the back of this case, you got another fan installed here. This is an exhaust fan. You’ve got your power supply here. You’ve got another exhaust fan here as well and of course your motherboard USB PS2, comports video sound right here and right here of course are the slots for your sound cards, video cards etcetera.
Let's now open this case up and have a look inside. Okay, so this is the inside of the case and as you can see it's quite spacious. This is 24-inch server case. It gives you lots of room if you're into water cooling, certainly lots of room to put radiators and pumps in the bottom, at the top wherever you want. You’ve got all kinds of fans here as well. You’ve got it I as mentioned before one right here exhausting, one right here exhausting. You have another one at the front as an intake as well. So you could be sure that your case is cool and of course you have a two that is on this side of the case as well the 92 millimeters ones sucking in here.
So you could get a great airflow through this case certainly. Now, down here you’ve got room for up to six hard drives if you want to put hard drives in here, six right here. So plenty of room here to put that as well at the top you have five 5.25 bays and at the very top you could pop in a zip drive or floppy drive in here so you’ve got one 3.5 inch at the very top.
And this of course is very standard if you have your hard drive connectors here, your power connectors, your reset connectors and of course you have your speaker. Something else worth noting this whole button area of the case as you can see here is completely free. There is no speaker down here. It's actually at the middle to the right of the case. So if you want to install anything down here like pump etcetera if you're into water cooling you have a nice flat area down here for that.
This is very common for a lot of cases these days and to be quite frank I prefer this over almost any other setup today for a simple fact that when you screw this in they are going to stay in and certainly you're not going to pump out and this is very, very secure to put on motherboard on into this.
As you can see here, this would go installed quite easily like so, just screw them in like I can do it here with one hand very easily. Of course tighten this and put the appropriate ones for your motherboard in the case and that’s it and then screw them on here and you have a nice solid base for your motherboard to sit on.
Now, this little tab here that came with the case this is actually a security feature. I’ll show you how this is actually installed. This would go right here. If you can see here this is a little slotted area for this to go through. I’ll just show you how this is done, so you would take it like so and you would push it through and once it's through you would turn it. Just turn a little and then kind of let it drop and you can see here it will just drop down and you would not be able to push it back and then the case cover would go on this, the side case cover would go on. It would go over to this and then of course you could put a lock on this.
So let me put the side of the case on just to show you. Okay so now I'm going to be putting the case on here, I’ll show you how this works. You will just put the side of the case back on and as you could see here as I push the case all the way on. This will pop through. Now of course you can mount a lock to this. So now, to put the lock in very simply get a nice a big lock on here and snap it on and it's locked. But something else which is kind of important to know here is that this case does come with feet. Now, on either side so there are two feet either side. This simply slide in and out to give you more stability because let's face it this is quite a tall case and you got to somehow secure it so that if you do hit it, it doesn’t tip over.
So overall this is an excellent case. I give it a nine out of ten. It has lots of fans around the front in taking, two on the side in taking, you got two on the back exhausting all the heat so excellent circulation of air through this case. I recommend this case for anyone who is serious into server slots of hard drives, a lot of CD-ROM, DVD’s that kind of thing or anybody who is into overclocking using pumps, radiators that kind of deal. So an excellent case recommended probably for a hardcore out there who is into servers and mudding and wanting lots of space.
This is not a LAN party case. Let's face it. It's 24 inches. It's heavy unless you’ve got some really wicked handles on the top and you're a Hercules you're not going to be very happy carrying this around. It's a very clunky, big, heavy thing. However overall this is a fantastic case who wanted to use for and I highly recommend it.
