Tech Review - iRock 520 MP3 Player
Hello again. My name is Rodney Reynolds and welcome to another video review. Today I will be looking at the iRock 520 MP3 player. What is included in this package are the drivers, software and manual, you also get a USB cable, a very handy carry strap, headphones and the MP3 player itself. This unit itself is very lightweight, very compact, certainly fitting almost anywhere and it looks really nice and cool. Also, of course with this it comes with an extra 128 megabytes which you can put into this unit so giving you even more listening pleasure and it actually comes standard with 64 megabytes of memory.
Now let me just go over some of the key features that are on this particular product. On the left hand side here we have a USB connection. Of course this goes connected from this particular unit into your computer system. Right here we have mode button. Now this mode button will give you extra base as well as equalization settings things like jazz, rock, classical and so on.
Here at the very top we have a place to plug your headphones into. Right here we have the hole button and here is where your strap gets connected. Now on the right hand side of this unit you have a volume controls up and down and you also here have the power on and power off as well as the play and pause. You also have the skip forward, skip backward as well as the fast forward and rewind all in this little handy area right here. That is excellent to have all this stuff into one place is fantastic because if you're holding the unit like this for example as you can see here I just skipping through songs and if I want to is go fast forward I just go quickly and it can fast forward, if you want to power it off just go ahead and power it off. It’s very, very simple to use so that’s really good feature they have putting it all basically into one area right here.
Now on the back of this as I mentioned before a SMART card can go in here up to 128 megabyte so not only can you have what's standard in here 64 but you can have that extra 128 megabytes of memory giving you around three to four hours of listening pleasure and right here at the bottom we have a triple “A” battery. Now there is a battery which does come with this and of course the battery will last depending on how you use, just really the base and so and so forth between five to ten hours of use.
Overall this MP3 player has what you need to really enjoy listening to music. It really does not have all the extra thrills like recording, FM channels as well as the backlight screen however, it does have bang for the buck. This thing is very affordable now at around $100.00. It comes with 64 megabytes of memory onboard, can put up to another 128 megabytes, so it really does have pretty much everything you're going to need to really enjoy listening to whatever your favorite tunes are.
Also of course with this is the fact that you get the software in here and of course the software is very easy to use. Plug it in USB connected it will detect it. Of course now you have to remember that when you're using the software you really can do a number of things.
You can transfer files to the unit. You can also of course format the media you have whether it’s the 64 megabytes that’s onboard or whether it’s the SMART card that you have installed in this particular unit but overall this is a kick-ass product.
