When you get a virus that makes your computer as if everything is infected how are you to go about destroying this virus? Every last thing about the computer will not open and will not let me run my Security program to fix the problem. I'm thinking that I need to purge the hard drive/ kill it then reformat it. What do you think?

Hello again, I’m Rodney Reynolds from 3dGameman.com. Next question is, “How do you completely erase all the data on your hard drive?” This is a fantastic question because a lot of people don’t know how to properly do this and according to an MIT study, 74 percent of discarded PC hard drives have private data on them that can be read and recovered. So, how do you get rid of all the data on your hard drive, so no one else can read it or recover it. Well, will format do it? Will deleting a few files do it? No, it will not. You need to have a proper software program that meets or exceeds the US Department of Defense standards for data removal. I can recommend three programs, Drive Scrubber, Darik's Boot and Nuke, and Kill Disk. Those are three really good software programs. I tend to use drive scrubber most, but the other two are fantastic as well. Hope this answers your question and keep your questions coming.
