Hello again, I’m Rodney Reynolds from 3Dgameman.com. The next question is, “Which of the two new Intel Crossfire-based motherboards is the best, P45 or X48? Well, the best will be the X48. That’s the fastest motherboard but it’s also the highest price. So, maybe you can go with the P45 and save a few extra dollars. It really depends on how many video cards you’re going with. If you’re going with a single video card and you’re never going to upgrade to a Crossfire configuration, I’d suggest going with the P45 because if you have a single video card, you’re going to get a PCI Express 2.0 X16 slot. But if you go with a P45 more and have two video cards in there, you’re going to have two PCI Express two slots but they’re going to be at X8.

Now, if you go with the X48 motherboard and you have two video cards installed, you’re going to get full speed. In other words PCI-Express 2.0 X16 in both slots. And you’ll see probably a 5% to 10% increase depending on the games and so on and so forth from an X48 motherboard in a Crossfire configuration. So, simply put—if you’re taking about just getting a single video card solution, go with the P45. If you’re going at a Crossfire configuration, go at the X48.
