Hello again, I’m Rodney Reynolds from 3dGameMan.com. This next question is a fantastic one. It’s what to do with your computer hardware when you’re going to upgrade or maybe you just don‘t want the hardware anymore, do you throw it in the garbage? Absolutely not, that’s something you don’t do, but unfortunately there are millions of people doing that and lots of companies and this is literally adding millions of tons of chemicals like Lead, Mercury, Cadmium and Chromium into the earth. They cause Cancer, High Blood Pressure, nerve damage and brain damage so please don’t throw your unwanted to computer hardware, in the garbage but what you do with it.
Well, the first thing you need to do is backup your important data. Once you’ve done that, you need to erase or wipe your hard drive completely clean and then you will have a number of options. You can maybe reuse some of the hardware, trade in some eBay or you can just recycle it. Every major town or city, it should have a solid waste drop off and I recommend a couple of sites. This one is in the United States, it’s EPA.org, that stands for Environmental Protection Agency. Canada has one environment, Canada, www.ec.gc.ca. Hope this answers your question. Keep your questions coming.
