Nick: I am Nick from Flint, Michigan. I was just wondering if teeth clenching and grinding at night can cause headaches. Dr. Victoria Pelak: Yes Nick. Those issues can lead to headaches. One of the important things to think about is a quick visit to your dentist. If your dentist gives you a guard for the teeth grinding at night and your headaches improve, then you'll know that the headaches were due to the teeth grinding. In addition, teeth clenching can be due to stress and other similar factors, and if you can relieve those, again you might be able to improve your headaches. You'll have to see after you treat those two issues whether or not your headaches improve.
