The second principle of Total Health Management is to use your brain or you may lose it. And I made this important because without our brain, what are we? An extensive animal experimentation as well as human experimentation shows that the more the brain is stimulated the more it produces growth factors that help the stem cells get to work building new circuits.

So the harder we work our brains, the more we can build new circuits and doing things like playing word games, card games or other games of concentration, video games, learning a new language, all these things help to rebuild the brain. You should memorize your telephone numbers rather than relying totally on just automatic dialers.
