Hello, I am Gale Ginzburg. Spiritual Director of Esynagogue.org and this is Kabbalah for today.
A practical guide to traditional Jewish Mysticism updated for you today.
In this installment, I will discuss the last sviraj of the ten, which is known as Mahut or Majesty.
This sviraj which I will show you on our chart here at the very bottom represents’ the physical plane in which we dwell in a sense, we could talk about it as the fruits of the tree of life.
In Jewish teaching, the physical world and everything in it including you is seen as innately good, yet in need of healing and we might say harmonization.
The entire system of this spherote like a real tree or any other living being requires a flow of energy.
In Kabbalistic teaching, the energy flow is based on balance and purity.
Let us move for a moment from the tree model of the spherote to the body model.
Consider the flow of blood through the body. Blood, you know, is necessarily to bring healing and nourishment to all the cells of the body. The entire functioning of the body is controlled by the brain paralleled by the upper three spherote of the chart.
The blood pump pumps from the heart, the smear of t ferret and from there through the organs and limbs of the body and of course, back up through the brain.
If there imbalances in the body or impendence to the blood flow, the body will not be healthy and worst case scenario, we can have a heart attack or stroke.
As we must diligently guard and in seek to improve our health to be physically strong and active and energetic, we also must guard our spiritual well being and improve that if we want to be whole righteous human beings, setting our course in this life for the life to come.
In addition, each of us is a microcosm of the entire cosmos. As we do good or ill and proving or damaging our health or spiritual being, we not only affect ourselves as individuals, we have an impact on the whole system.
Mahut is a sviraj of action. We are called by God to live lives of holiness, balance and joy, generosity and purity. No matter what you do in your daily life, you are to carry it out in a holy manner.
In order to do this, we need to connect to God, receiving this nourishment through prayer and meditation.
As you meditate on the Mahut, envision the nourishing healing light of God’s presence, also known as the Shaphina, filling every cell of your body. Buskin that light, and take it with you to share with everyone and everything you encounter.
God’s blessings and peace be with you always.
