Shalom, this is the seventh in the series of videos about Introduction to Judaism Terms this is first session Seven on Shabbat.
The first term is Menuha which means rest. There are two aspects to Sabbat one is the provision to work, the requirement to rest and others the celebration and memories. So, Menuha means to rest.
Malahah is the work which is prohibited on the Shabbat. 39 prohibited Malahot in the book of Exodus it has ejects to opposed paragraph which says first of all you cannot do any Malahah in Shabbat and then it describe below in Melahot and it did not distract in the tabernacle. So, stages to do is to from the second passage what was done for building the tabernacle that is what is prohibited on Shabbat, those are the 39 prohibited Melahot.
Challa is the special braided enriched bread that we eat in Sabbath and holidays. Candles we light at least two Shabbat candles on Friday evening as part of the celebration of remembering the Sabbath.
Kidush that is the sanctification of the Sabbath with wine or grape juice, it is done as part of the Sabbath service and we have special, I have a special Youtube video on how to do that.
Suddath mitzvah is the special meal that we eat in celebration of the Sabbath or Suddath Mitzvah would be a special meal of celebration and enjoys occasion like in baby naming or a marriage.
Assemerot are special songs for the Sabbath that is sung.
Suddashly Sheet it is customary to have three special meals on the Sabbath Friday evening, Sabbath at lunch and then Sabbath in the afternoon when we celebrate on moving towards the conclusion of the Sabbath, that is Suddashly Sheet the third meal.
Havdalah is a special ceremony we had in the conclusion of the Sabbath and I have a video on how to do Havdalah.
Ela Avdil means to separate so it is to separate the Sabbath from the rest of the week.
Shabbat Shalom is the time that is used in well committing people on the Sabbath that is more of aspartic term or Ashkan ads I would say Cudchavest. Today I want to say both.
Chivoi Tov means good week and that is what we say the end of Havdalah at the end of the Sabbath have a good week.
Arov is not just to leave or go to far the Sabbath or leave your community and you are not suppose to carry in a public domain. The Arov is what extends the boundaries of your private home to that of communities and certain that parts of the world. There is an Arov constructed which has a device, assisting of wires and ropes which enlarges the community and permits people to carry on the Sabbath.
Shamurv is a whore. The Ten Commandments and Exodus say you should Gomorrah as I remember. The Ten Commandments and Deuteronomy say you should Gomorrah the Sabbath prayer of Lahad Udiyan Friday night says that the God send them both at once Shamurv and Gomorrah.
Thos are the two many aspect of the Sabbath to remember and to guide the Sabbath remember on all those things we do to celebrate and gather there all those things we do to rest.
