Mark: The side-effects of testicular cancer surgery Randy are actually fairly minimal. Because there are two testicles, the loss of one is really basically just cosmetic. We often put in a prosthetic to replace the testicle that’s been removed for cancer but it's really for cosmetic reasons. So the surgery to remove that testicle doesn’t really have much in the way of long term effects. The surgery to remove the lymph nodes of the abdomen if that becomes necessary can have additional effects such as retrograde ejaculation and that is something that the surgeon should talk clearly with you about prior to the procedure.
