I wanted to take the chance to talk a bit about this Angus Young signature pick up here, the ridge because I have installed this one recently and this guitar came to new life and now I cannot seem to have enough playing this guitar. I did not like the original. The original I think is the verse bucker that was there so I was not using that guitar. I was using the other SG that you showed me with. And basically what I have done is I replaced the pick up but I changed the pick up cover and I put the original that came with the guitar because the Angus Young signature pick up has a different metal pick up cover. So, I wanted it to look like the other one. Also, it was too shiny and brand new and I do not like that. I like the older stuff as you know and I really love it. So, let me show you up close what it is look like now that it is done right there. Of course I brought it up the same way I told you in my tips video.
So, this side is all up and this other side I brought it slightly down. I am sure you cannot see it but you can experiment yourself with your own guitar the same way I do. So since some of you have been asking me about this Angus signature pick up and the way it is going to sound in your guitar, well I do not know that but what I do is I pick p a guitar and I play unplugged.
If I like the wood, I take the guitar. Of course, now, I have enough guitars so I do not need to buy anymore, never say never. So, if you like the way your guitar sounds unplugged, you like the wood, you think it is resonant. Okay, so you like it that way but you do not like it plugged, I strongly suggest if you like AC/DC tone of course, I strongly suggest to try this pick up on your guitar even if it is not an SG. So, let us give it a try and let us hear some riffs and solos and let us hear how it sounds.
