AJ: Hi! My name is AJ. Does testosterone affect the way I think? Ellen Binder: Well AJ, it doesn't really affect the way you think in a general way on a daily basis, the way you make decisions. Testosterone is well established to have an important effect on sexual drive or libido in men and in women. We also know from some small studies, there is not a lot of a well-done studies in this area, that it may affect some specific thinking tasks. One of them is called verbal fluency or the ability to remember and come up with words, and the other is called visual-spatial abilities or the ability to think and remember in three dimensions.
