The 3D Performance of an Economy Graphic Card
Christy: I just wanted jump to John, Chris. He wants to know about this NV card. He’s wondering if it’s just too old to work. He says, “I've downloaded it and installed the restricted drivers 96 that have been to some it’s correct but during to activate it nothing happens. Something is wrong with my GLX or X configuration I am thinking. My video card is MV 17 Geforce 4MX 420 RAV A3, that’s has been to tell me when I try and run company jack.
Robbie: Yeah, this is amazing. John, I just can’t quite get over that is why I smiled because I saw he got a Geforce and MX 420, like these are extremely low in like economy cards. It’s funny like I can't believe that we got people in the chat room with this. We have got an e-mail coming in with this very similar card. Hammer back to my previous comment I really do not like to have to tell you to upgrade your hardware but really it is kind of necessary.
Christy: In these difficult times.
Robbie: Yeah certainly! But you can get them in a fairly inexpensive card that’s going to be you know higher than what you’re running for sure but you just can't expect to get good performance out of these things.
Christy: It can save a lot of headaches.
Robbie: Yeah! I would start like 7600 GS entry level like consider that the very, very entry level that you should go with. Yeah, John Roberts is commenting for two dimensional computer operations that should be fine. Absolutely like for office use, disable all your effects, and disable any kind of Compiz fusion and things like that for sure but as far as running any kind of effects on there you just cannot do it. It just will not perform for you.
