Sarah: I know that you carry around with you a certain McDonald’s hamburger.
Julia: It is four years old. I have fries with it and it is aging better than me. Nothing, no preservative, no shrink crap. This is what a real potato looks like sliced open three months old. This is a McDonald’s french fries, it is four years old. Why are kids eating this stuff?

Sarah: Hi, every one. Welcome to diet.com video. I am your host Sarah and today I am joined by Julia Havey, obesity activist and master motivator. She is also an author of the “Vice Busting Diet” which was endorsed by Oprah’s Dr. Os and Dr. Katz as well as “Awakening the Diet Within.” Now, in your Vice Busting Diet, you basically say every one who is overweight has a vice and in order to reach a healthy weight and maintain it, they have got to figure out what it is and get rid of it.
Julia: Best advice.
Sarah: So, one of the examples that you give for advice is a big Mac or just simply a McDonald’s hamburger. I know you carry one around with you that is kind of old.
Julia: It is aging quite well now.
Sarah: How old is this hamburger exactly?
Julia: Over three years.
Sarah: Wow! And my main question now is when you bought the hamburger, why did you buy it? Did you know that you are going to hang on to it forever?
Julia: No, not at all. I used to go to fast food and ate at McDonald’s all the time when I was overweight. I actually have this hamburger because I was being interviewed by a local town newspaper when I was giving a speech somewhere and the people brought me lunch and they came in with heavy meal, hamburger bags and I thought they cannot know me very well, bringing me the most unhealthy food there is and I gagged, “No, no, no.” This one is six years old and this one is two years old and he wanted to bring it to me and show me some example and I said I am not leaving till you give me one of those. So, he gave me one of his but now I have my own of amazing so I have my own that is two years old. And they actually mailed me their six-year-olds. Some have shown me the video of it but it is amazing, no preservatives, nothing has been done so I carried it all around in a lunch box. Nothing has been done to it.
Sarah: That is amazing. I have not seen as that.
Julia: Have not seen as that. Right?
Sarah: I am really nervous.
Julia: This is my bag of tricks for you. Nothing, no preservative, no shrink crap, no vacuum wrap. This is just a McDonald’s happy meal hamburger. This is going on four years old. Now, I want you to look at it. And look for mold, it crumbles, the bun is falling apart. That is the worst thing happening to this. Look for mold, mildew that is tough in the corner of the shower stuff. Do you see any thing?
Sarah: Oh my gosh! It is so weird.
Julia: It is just hard. Touch it. It is just hard to the touch. The cheese is hard. The little hamburger bun shrunken up but there is no mold, no mildew, no visible signs of rot, age, breakdown or any thing. Now, do you eat fast food? You are young. You are thin.
Sarah: I do not. I worked at diet.com.
Julia: You are good but your friends do.
Sarah: Yes, of course.
Julia: Any other firsts you want fries with that.
Sarah: Yes.
Julia: So, you want fries with that if you were one of it.
Sarah: I do like the burger. I do the first. Others look like they are brand new.
Julia: Hold them in your hand, rub your fingers around, salty, greasy, oily to the touch. Four year old french fries. Now, what vegetables that they made of ?
Sarah: A potato.
Julia: Okay, exhibit A, a potato. This is a potato, real food potato. When I was going to New York to do the Dr.Ozes open french radio. You know how he brings up the dead body organs on Oprah show he compares.
Sarah: No, that is why I do not watch it.
