Anne Diamond: What's all this about Omega 3 oils helping to lose weight? Omega 3 oils are the ones that are very good for you, they're still discovering the disease prevention properties, but dieticians recommended that both these are fats. They are the salt that you should be eating, even if you want to lose weight and that they may even help boost the metabolism. You'll cold fish oils from mackerel, salmon, herring, and tuna.
Olive oil can be used in salad dressings and try linseed oil or flux as they call it in the USA, either it's a supplement in pill form or mixed into your salad dressings. Dieticians in America are beginning to get very excited about this oil as well as boosting the metabolism, it apparently helps lower cholesterol, vanishes arthritis, and migrans and can help to control asthma, and it makes you feel full and satisfied after a meal.
As well as helping with weight loss, Omega 3 is also beneficial to blood pressure and heart disease. More controversially, it's also been linked to helping patients without sinus disease. There is also evidence that it can help in the treatment of depression.
