Raena Morgan: Frank, what about the studies involving Sweet Orange? Could you elaborate on those?
Frank Murray: Oh, there are numerous studies, as I mention in my book, particularly in Europe with Sweet Orange, how it dilates the blood vessels, expands them so that more blood can get through. And, with venous insufficiency, this is a problem for a lot of people, particularly if they’re obese, if they have to stand for long periods of time.
Raena Morgan: Now, what is venous insufficiency?
Frank Murray: Well, the blood is not getting through sufficiently and so the vessels actually atrophy, more or less.
Raena Morgan: Oh!
Frank Murray: So, the blood has to get through the capillaries and the veins in order to strengthen them. And so, we need something like the Sweet Orange and its disomin and hesperidin to expand the blood vessels so that we don’t have the venous insufficiency that is a lack of circulation in the lower extremities.
Raena Morgan: So, people in the studies, they had venous insufficiency?
Frank Murray: Yes. It’s tied in with varicose veins and phlebitis. You know, anytime the blood is not circulating correctly in the lower extremities we have all kinds of health problems.
Raena Morgan: And, people who are obese have a problem with circulation?
Frank Murray: Oh, absolutely. It’s putting more stress, you know, on the lower extremities. People have to stand for long periods of time. Maybe they’ve taken too many antibiotics and other drugs—there are numerous ways that blood can not be expanded in the lower part of the body.
Raena Morgan: So, the studies also reveal that people who had taken antibiotics had venous insufficiency?
Frank Murray: Oh yes. Well, if they overdo it, yes. We tend to overdo antibiotics anyway; it causes all kinds of problems. As you say, obesity—pregnant women are putting stress on the lower part of the body that can interfere, obviously, and impede on circulation.
Raena Morgan: Well, thank you Frank.
Frank Murray: Thank you.
