Introducing the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept. The car's exterior gives off the vintage 5, but its modern body parts take after the classic Chevrolet coupe. It is slated for production in 2009, following the inauguration of the coupe that year. They share the same 400 horse power, 6 liter V8 engine and 6 speed manual transmission real wheel drive.
It has standard anti-lock for wheel disc brakes. The all independent suspension will carry over into production. There is now retractable roof beneath the hard tonno cover. The car has no top at all, but has been engineered dimensionally to hold the folding roof and the trunk.
Its retro pearl dry coat, referred to as Hagar orange recalls 1969 when Chevy first used the color on its Camaro model. Dubbing the car, hugger because it hugs the road. The wide double strips on the hood and deck lid date back to the 1967, Z28 model. The doors and front end are unchanged from coupe and the wheels are the same size.
The 21 inch front wheels and 22 inch real wheels might appear larger because the spokes reach out right to the edge of the polished rim. The car's shining features display the fun like modern interpretation of the classic coupe concept. The Camaro convertible's polished tail lamps are exposed, race car style. The uncluttered dash and four rectangular auxiliary gauges resemble the basic coupe design. The car costs more than $2 million to build.
