Dinosaurs roam the Alberta landscape for 160 million years before they were extinct. Hi, I’m Rebecca Brayton and welcome to WatchMojo.com and today we’ll be checking out some of Alberta’s modern dinosaur attractions.

In the days of the dinosaurs Alberta had an ideal climate for this and other animals. Wind and water have since eroded and shaped the terrain of the Alberta Badlands over millions of years. These Badlands have a distinctive landscape. Geological features of this area include canyons, ravines and hoodoos. Hoodoos are roughly shaped rock combs, which sprout from the bottom of the Badlands.

Today, they remain highlights of the landscape and will until the day when they finally erode entirely. Often found in Badlands are fossil beds which allows for easy collection of the pre historic reminiscence. In fact, the Albertan town of Drumheller is home to the riches deposits of fossils and dinosaur bones in North America.
