Welcome to body performance. I am Steve Terrano. I have been receiving a lot of emails lately from people asking me, Steve, please tell me what to eat for the week in order to lose weight.
That is not really the mindset you should have. A more effective mindset should be what should I not eat for the week in order to lose weight because it is what you do not eat that causes weight loss. Now, it is stupid for me or anybody else to sit here and tell you what you should it. I do not know what you like.
Listen, this is the best way to lose weight. Order what you normally order when you are in a restaurant. Make what you normally make when you are at home. Do not even worry about the portions, just make it, just order. When it comes to the table, cut your portion or your servings directly in half. Slide half that food in a to go box or slide half that food onto another plate. All that food, all those calories you slid on to another plate or in the to go box are calories in food you are not going to take in.
That is a decrease in the number of calories you are getting, that is your diet. Much easier to do that, than trying to survive on cabbage and celery and cottage cheese for the next six months. Eat what you like just eat less of it. You try that for a month and tell me if you do not lose weight. Love your body.
