Audra Lowe: Hi! We are back with hot topics and I'm here with Clarky Davis, you guys have seen her in our show before. We also call her Debt Diva, because you got all the solutions for debt and getting people out debt as well. Thank you so much for being here.
Clarky Davis: Thank you so much, it's all about frugal living.
Audra Lowe: It is, and not only frugal living Clarky, but we are in the midst of what they say recession, the economy is not doing so well, but what happened to customer service? You would think that a lot of companies are trying to keep their client base who are tying to keep you happy as a customer, but you are I were talking a little bit earlier about some companies that just aren't quite cutting it at all.
Clarky Davis: Yeah, and I think that's one so hard is, no more than ever people are being so selective about where they spend there money, you should get the best customer service.
Audra Lowe: Excellent service.
Clarky Davis: From any retailer, from any restaurant any place where you choose to go and spend your money; you should expect excellent customer service that means walking into a store and someone greeting you.
Audra Lowe: What happen to that?
Clarky Davis: Not just standing in the back, chatting by cash registers, come and greet me, ask me if I need anything. The other thing that I really hate is when I need to pay for something and you're standing there and you can't find someone to pay.
Audra Lowe: Right that is annoying.
Clarky Davis: You're waiting 5 to 10 minutes and you've got to really love the item that you want if you're going to stick it out to actually pay the people for those items.
Audra Lowe: But when you don't need their help; they're hounding you there all over the place. So why that? I don't understand.
Clarky Davis: I don't understand, but I will tell you something that's really great okay. Restaurant right now especially are offering lots of fabulous deals to encourage people to come and spend. So if you're going to go out with your girlfriends even with your husband, do your research and find out what are their special deals. You can get those exotic martins for $3.50 cents on the ladies' night where they are $10 originally.
Audra Lowe: That's why you like those. I can see it.
Clarky Davis: I love those! Anything pink, if the drape is pink, I want it. Really being conscientious to support those venders and support those retailers that are giving good deals, because you want to help them after this bump on the road.
Audra Lowe: We're coming back we like the service.
Clarky Davis: Yes, if we like your service and you've done something to help us during our tough time; we're going to do something to help you during your tough time.
Audra Lowe: Yeah, we are taking about coming back to the retailers, but how about running away. We won't say the name of the company, the bank or whatever it is but you and I, I think, we must have had the same experience. A lot of companies are taking over other companies and they're taking the customers with them and they are imposing their rules and regulations.
Clarky Davis: Their rules and regulation and they're not providing the same fabulous service for their good customers, especially if you're regular. I know one thing we talked about was on with credit card reformat coming into the place, a lot of big creditors are making adjustments to their policies that are no longer as customers-friendly for the people that pay their bill every month, they are reestablishing theirs annual fees, things like that.
Clarky Davis: It's ridicules.
Audra Lowe: So really be conscientious. If you have a credit card, do what you can pay off everything, try your best to become debt free before the all of this stuff really gets implemented, because you're not going to get the same benefits that's you're do now.
Audra Lowe: And I think a lot of companies realize -- credit card companies realize that most people have heard the news, you should not close out the account once you pay the balance off, because that it could destroy or mess up your credit.
Clarky Davis: Well, it will definitely noted and it might ding it, the thing is you know you want to make sure that you're seen as a good customers; you pay your bills on time each and every month, but the main thing is this until everything shakes down and you can see what your benefits, what your going -- the things you're going to get as a customer, you really need to be mouthful at time and pay that debt down.
Audra Lowe: Yeah it's so harsh sometimes not to just say exactly what's on your mind.
Clarky Davis: Exactly.
Audra Lowe: So maybe one day we'll have a change. Thank you so much Clarky, good to see you again. We'll be right back.
Clarky Davis: Thank you!
