Shalom! Some basic differences between Judaism and Christianity. I know this is over-simplified of what you want to know in a five-minute video.
First of all for God, for Jews absolutely God is one has no body and form, that is Judaism, it is most basic levels, Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad—One god, no body, no image. For Christians obviously, God as three-in-one, the trinity, and one of those pieces is a body—Jesus. So that is the complete opposite difference from Judaism.
Now in Judaism, people pray directly to god, whereas in Christianity people pray to God through Jesus. There is also the possibility in Christianity of intercession to the saints and Mary. In Christianity, Jesus was sent by the father of earth to teach religious truce and redeem humanity by his own death. For Jews, Jesus was simply a man and a Jew towards Jewish ideas beliefs basically.
Now, on the issues of sin, Judaism—we say every morning ni shamata harana tatabi, ‘you put a pure soul within me.’ Christians read the Adam and Eve story as if it kind of says that people are born inherently in a sinful state and require baptism in order to be redeemed and Jews simply do not believe it. Believe that we are born free of sin, we sin our lives by nature and we have repentance as the way back.
Now in terms of symbols and images, in Judaism, there is no image or teach that should be revered in worship. We only worship God. We have sacred symbols with the Torah but we worship only god. In Christianity, of course there are symbols to worship Jesus, Mary and the saints.
What about forgiveness? In Judaism, how do you obtain forgiveness?—through repentance, prayer, and making a man through deeds of love and kindness. God’s love is given to all people. In Christianity, has the concept of grace which is essentially Gods free gift of love and favor to his people, and through faith in Jesus, a person accepts the gift of grace is thereby purify your sins and sanctified. Again in Judaism, it is through repentance, prayer, and deed of love and kindness not through the gift of grace.
Now communion, the Christians have sacraments communion, commemorating the Last Supper and which Christians share in partaking the body and blood of Jesus through bread and wine, Jews have no equivalent rituals and whatsoever as communion.
And finally in Salvation, Jews believed that all people can be given soul that is moral and can inherit a portion on the world to come. I have a video which explains how non-Jews can do that, very simply. But for Christians basically, only people can be saved from hell through their faith and Jesus participating in the church. Again, that is very general but those are some of the basic differences between Judaism and Christianity.
Also of course, we do not believe there is a New Testament because our Old Testament is not old—it is the only testament in our belief. Christians believe there is a New Testament. Christianity also rejected to the whole nourish of the rabbinical law even though Jesus is a Pharisee, we do not believe Jesus was the Messiah or as God. Again, some of the differences besides the fact that we have very different holidays and liturgy and prayer systems and practices.
