First stop, Michael Jordan. We all know Michael Jordan played the North Carolina. He left a bit early, but he still had those few extra years, he came to the NBA when he was 21 as opposed to LeBron James he was 18. So let’s see, LeBron James and Michael Jordan are two of three players who’ve ever averaged over 20 points, 5 rebound, 5 assists in their rookie season. Their unlimited company with that of Auster Robertson, one of the most first style players ever who’ve ever played. Now, in Jordan’s first two seasons, he averaged 25.45 points, for LeBron James he averaged 24.05 points, so they’re really not that much different in that respect. Well in the third season, both players really picked up their games. Jordan went on to average 37 points in his third season, and LeBron James is looking like he is going to be right over 30 points for the entire season. So we still jumping it up over five points.
Now when it comes to career high for points, Jordan is unparallel by few. I mean, you guys Kobe went up for 81 on the Raptors and you have Wilt Chamberlain historic 100-point game. And when Jordan went off for 69 points, we have to remember that was in the sixth season, LeBron James went off for 56 points against the Raptors in only the second season. So that might be a look to come for the next few years, maybe LeBron James is picking up his name as he aged, maybe in the years to come he might be able to pass Jordan 69. Now we should also remember that Jordan was picked out in North Carolina by the 0131 at age 21 and this is a huge difference to LeBron James, he started in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers at age 18.
I mean that’s a whole three years difference. LeBron James is 21 now and look, where he is, so next stop we’re going to change it up a little, we’re going to compare them to another high school baller that came straight to the NBA. Another guy that came and joined the team right when he was 18. So next stop we’ll be talking about Kobe Bryant versus LeBron James.
