Raena Morgan: Do you see additional health benefits down the road for using EpiCor?
Dr. Stuart Reeves: Yes I do. I think that long term use of EpiCor will produce a healthier
body, and a healthier body will be there because the immune system is
acting in an appropriate manner. One of the problems with the immune
system is that it cannot be turned off.
Raena Morgan: Okay.
Dr. Stuart Reeves: It has to know—and it has to know when to do certain things. An example
is inflammation. Inflammation at the right time is a highly appropriate
immune response. At the wrong time it is an inappropriate immune
response.
Raena Morgan: All right.
Dr. Stuart Reeves: We have some research in animals that we’re following up on that
suggests that EpiCor can help the immune system balance the
inflammatory response. It can educate it to cause inflammation when
required but to reduce inflammation when it’s appropriate. We’re
following this up because inflammation, like allergies, is one of the parts
of the immune system that can easily get out of balance. There are a whole
range of signals that go throughout the immune system that say—do this
here—do that there—there’s a constant flow of information throughout the
system. In the West we don’t always have the right information going to
the right places, which is why it’s easy to get allergic responses, asthma,
and in some cases inflammation. EpiCor helps modulate that flow of
information so that the response is more appropriate and more natural.
Raena Morgan: So that you can count on your immune system.
Dr. Stuart Reeves: You can count on it more than you could without EpiCor.
Raena Morgan: All right. Thank you Dr. Reeves.
