Welcome to the 8th episode in the Finer Points of Facebook Series. Editing your profile is really easy. I am already in my Profile, so I can just click on Edit My Profile. Without having to go to another page, I can simply edit my profile right from here. So, if I decide that I want to add my Home Neighborhood, I can do that. And change anything else here I want. Just be sure to click Save before moving on. Now I can go and add my personal information. To add activities, interests, favorite movies, etc.
Do this for every part of your information section on your profile page. You can also change the settings right here for your Facebook Wall. You can choose to make comments that people make on your wall expanded or collapsed. Choose if you want to allow friends to post to your wall at all and choose who can see the content that friends right on your wall. So you can choose to make things your friends post visible to everyone; your networking friends, friends of friends, only you, etc.
You can also customize it and type in specific friends names that you don’t want to be able to see your wall. So you can make it so your boss or co-workers can’t see you wall if you’re afraid of your friends posting inappropriate information.
The last option allows you to make posts from you and your friends the default view meaning, when you see your page, this would be the default and then you can change it to only more posts or only your friend’s posts. Removing this, remove the option to view your posts combine.
Remember, there are ten parts to this series, so don’t forget to check out the other episodes in the Finer Points of Facebook Series.
