this is a neat idea. but wtf, hydrogen has already been proven to be impractical nay impossible. however, you are still able to keep that same concept if you switch is to just electric and have a recharge station. and you get even less emissions ^_^. i think the ppl need to know is that you switch from any kind of "fuel" (hydrogen even) then it takes away from the central power method that allow corporations to maintain control over the prices. if you make it decentralized then we could get some where.

I like it but how much cost would be ?. If you make it comfortable price, we'll going to use it. If it's not, it isn't work for us. Thanks

Great inovation. It stirs the imagination on many levels including visual design and handling and stability. The present is starting to look like the future. I just hope it dosen't go the way of so many other great ideas, bought out and gathering dust in a warehouse because some corporation see's a threat to it's profits.

What they dont tell people is that the environmental cost of producing the hydrogen in large quantites creates more greenhouse emissions then using a combustion engine. Also, the cost of a fuel cell will never go down since it mainly consists of precious metals such as gold, which if anything is getting more expensive.

i wish this would happen...but the oil industry has us by twigs and berries...consumers want this but the oil compines are slowing down the process because they know they'll go out of business. it'll come right on time though

I do think that the hydrogen technology offers great possibilities! no fuel expenses and no polution for the environment! on the otherhand i really think that they go a little far with the idea of the different shells....i mean who needs that? if you have a suv or van and a limousine or coupe or only one of them that enough ...also the shell looked crappy! what would be awesome just a 500hp hydrogen audi R8 and they can really get lost with thir skateboard

I'm looking for this concept or one similar to relegate the fossil-fueled 'horseless carriage' to history. Hybrid technology, biofuels, and ethanol are stop-gap measures and will not spare the fossil-fueled combustion engine in the long term.

What if this car hits a speed bump or a road ditch? Looks like you'd lose a wheel.

There are people who make things happen, there are people who watch things happen, and then there are those that wonder, what happened. I enjoy being a positive force for change ranther than a cynic.

What if your steering computer (or brakes) crashes and you don't have mechanical backup? This is the main reason there are no drive-by-wire cars on the road today (they're not legal because of this issue). All systems, both mechanical and electronic are subject to failure but electronic systems tend to be much more complex and therefore less reliable. If you look at today's cars, most of the time you're taking them in for repair, it's because of an electronic issue. It is possible to increase the reliability, such as in the F22, but that would probably double the price of the car. Someday, this may be solved, but not likely anytime soon. I'm an EE in the semiconductor biz and knowing the failure modes and process variations involved in their manufacture, I would be very nervous driving something like this for the foreseeable future.

what an unrealistic bunch of futurist fools. I hope fuel cell cars are successful, but only completely rich people will have this car. AKA i dont give a crap. THis is just a nerd's wet dream. I want to see the affordable version!!! THAT is the way of the future, this is just some bullshit on tv.

"Instant response" my toe. Ever since cars got computerised everything works slower. Few companies have integrated it successfully. NOTHING will ever replace the precise feedback of mechanical linkages. As for the rest of the car: Crap. Few people have the time or money to waste on new shells for their car. All these 'visionary' designers seem to be forgetting that a car is not an ipod and it will never be one. Also, I don't see the point of going the way of hydrogen cells. In the end, electricity produced by dirty methods just goes into factories that extract hydrogen from air, which is then transported by diesel trucks to stations that dispense it to your car, which then consumes it through a questionably efficient process. It makes a lot more sense to just use that electricity which is directly pumped to your house via cables to charge your car, removing all those inefficient in between steps. Fuel stations wouldn't go out buisness this way either, as they can offer rapid charging beyond home capabilities.

don't be fooled- the only thing of worth here is the advancement to hyrdogen cell usage. The rest of this is garbage that will end up being tossed away anywho.

Electric from solar is the way to go with this car. Nuclear is not necessary. see: http://www.nan osolar.com/ and for batteries (so we don't need Hydrogen): http://w ww.sciencedaily.com/ releases/2007/12/071 219103105.htm
