Don Sherman: This test at Loveland is a very special one to see how Lincoln fairs against 4 competitors. It's an important page if not chapter in the history of Lincoln.
Female Speaker 1: To me its not just V6 versus V8. It really is the future of Lincoln. This car is so important to Lincoln. It had designers working like crazy on this lineup, but I don't know if it is going to win. Well, nice to see you in one piece, everything done.
Rod Millen (Driver): The last round one was the best one, the engine. power wise. I was impressed with that. I think I might have got the highest top speed of all the cars so far.
Female Speaker 1: Well I think we will adjourn, well done crunches the numbers.
Corey Weaver: We just finished the Lincoln runs, and it's been pretty anxious day for myself as well as the whole team back in Dearborn, so we'll be anxious to see the final numbers.
Don Sherman: As a tester and a technician I am hesitant to make predications, but I think there will be surprises.
Female Speaker : So Don has crunched the numbers, the reckoning is at hand.
Male Speaker: Interesting group very tight finish, numbers are, number 5, Maserati Quattroporte, number 4, Jaguar, number 3, Mercedes E550, number 2, Lincoln MKS, number 1 BMW 550i by a very slim margin, 8 tenths of a mile an hour.
Female Speaker: 8 tenths of a mile.
Male Speaker: 3 of the cars had the same top speed on the course, the Jag, the Mercedes the BMW all hit 107 the Lincoln beat every one in that respect by achieving a 109 miles an hours.
Female Speaker: The engine is absolutely dynamic, absolutely dynamic.
Corey Weaver: An exciting day for the EcoBoost, Lincoln came in by the top of the pack, so I consider that success.
Female Speaker: Well, thanks a lot, did great. I am glad that the MKS came so close to winning, its further evidence that they are really trying to make something out of this company.
Rod Millen (Driver): We're still being really surprised how fast the Lincoln is, the high speed on the mountains, I didn't expect to see that.
Matt Stone: I think it can hold its head very high here, it's playing against much more expensive cars, and it really honked up that hill.
Male Speaker: There have been some folks along the way that have questioned the merit of the technology, but the numbers speak for themselves, although it is out there now, some exciting time for Lincoln.
Female Speaker: Congratulations!
Corey Weaver: I am going to say, I am a pretty proud engineer at this point, yeah, I feel pretty good right now.
