The Importance of a Vintage VW Beetle Engine Seal

This is a 68 bug, we have a 16 hundred engine in here and then my first Volk that I pick-up and I restore was a 68 bug and when I first put all back together, not for a new wave putting on. And when I put in the new wave put it in. He was a big gap that you can see through what was on the things is broken and we are just did the after marketing it been have been a big space in between the engine 10 and the apron we you can stick your whole hand on. You can see to the floor I do not think much job and I do not I maybe I have just nobody hears just a breath off for that car.

Hw would you know the heat from the mufflers came up through that air gap and then actually hit in engine and the performance suffered in the car. The car was not able to run efficiently at all on a highways and recent is pretty bad, probably to a an old check was a backing guy use to work n this bugs by me and sure enough you told me you need put the engine seal inside your engine compartment. And I was like now you are crazy I can not just be at sure enough I put an engine seal in and it stop the heat from coming up from the mufflers and it prevented this car, and the old engine for me been overheating. Is engines are mentive Land Cruise as we all know. So make sure you put your engine seal in correctly in when you are going up to see another bug that you want to even buy. Make sure to check the engines compartment to see if that engine seal is good and intact. If it is cheap away or there is a big gap in her I mean it is good possibility that the person is may be driving in that way without the engine seal for a while and that engine could have some problem with that shop as well d not easiest things to get in.

The best way to put them in of course is with the engine out of the car. You are able then to surf that in inside the channel here were close in I will show a close of that in second but you can not put it in with the engine and it is a little difficult. This one is to get some silicon And spare that in the channel and then you can start sliding it in. I like that actually open the gropers where it is slightly in the channel first and I slide the side. This side in first and then line it up here to the point here or this kind of poppin and then I close the gropers down and then in side a slide in as well. You just like I said it is siliconic it start at he rubber from the beginning of the truck or you just start sliding it in nice and easy. Sometimes it takes sometimes. Sometimes it was gropers are all bent out of shape and it does not go in smooth so might want just take straight the mount so they stay slide in nice and easy. But that is pretty much or we check your engine seal. t is very important t have this in Volkswagen to keep the heat out and keep this engine cool until running efficiently.
