Will Hamilton: Welcome to the kick serve progression section of the website. In this section we’re going to go from scratch and build you up to a fundamentally sound kick serve. Now we’ve made a couple assumptions in this section of the website. We’re assuming that you can hit a flat serve likely we laid out in the serve progression section.
A lot of the stuff we talk about in this video assumes that you can do the stuff we talked about in the serve progression of the website. So, we have been master those steps I suggest to go take a look and work on that stuff first.
Second, we also assume that you watched the kick serve fundamental section of the website and you understand some of the intricacies of the kick serve. Specifically, the toss on the kick serve needs to be directly above your head when you hit the tennis ball. So, you need to be all the control your toss you need to be able to toss the ball so that’s over your head when you made contact with it every single time.
So, if you’re tosses a little earn, I recommend you work on your toss get a consistent before you approach the lessons in this section. We’re not going to talk about the toss in the subsequent videos, we’re just assuming that you put it there ever single time. Now that it you should be scared the way. Learning the kick serve once you’ve mastered the fundamentals of a more general flat serve is relatively simple. We have four progressions in this section that again will build you up to fundamentally sound kink serve and put you well in your way to turning that serve into a major, major asset.
