Tracy Bezeau: You’ve decided to replace the windows in your home but you are not sure where to begin. Which windows will best suit your home? How long will it take to install them? Terry Bobiak President of QSI Windows Doors and Sunrooms is here to walk us through the process. This is Daily Web TV.
Are you thinking of replacing your windows and doors? Well to help us with that is Terry from QSI.
Terry, I’ve decided that I want to replace my windows, where do I start?
Terry Bobiak: There are two ways, you can give us a call and we can send out a sales rep to come to your home first or the other option is people will come in to the showroom first, depending on their schedule. And it is a two step process so we—if they come to the showroom first, we’ll do a demonstration here and then we go out to the house to assess their needs or we go to the house and asses their needs and them come back to the showroom.
Tracy Bezeau: So I have a style in mind that I want for my window and it does not fit or it wouldn’t be the right window for that area, would you be giving me some advice some of that as well.
Terry Bobiak: Yes. We have—all the options are on display in the showroom, full scale models to show you. So you can either go with the traditional look that you have but invest in a quality window or change the look old together as long as it suits the house and we’ll be careful in that one too.
Tracy Bezeau: So I’ve picked my windows out, what next? What is the process?
Terry Bobiak: After you’ve decided on the window, you want to go with, then we send a re-measurement technician out to the house and he will evaluate, assess, and make sure that everything was sold appropriately. So then we’ve picked the right installation, the right product and it gets measured to custom fit that is exists in your opening. So we take those measurements back to the showroom and we process the order.
Tracy Bezeau: How long does a typical install take?
Terry Bobiak: Most installs we try to do in one day. Smaller houses are done in one day with one crew and larger houses, we have the ability to put up to three crews; three, two men crews on one house, on one project and finish it up in one day.
Tracy Bezeau: So our windows are installed and I absolutely love the way that they look in my home. What is the after-sale process like?
Terry Bobiak: After the installers finished, it will go through a check list with you at the home and then he brings that back to the office and then the office will give you a call, a follow-up to make sure that everything that your needs and hopefully we exceeded them.
Tracy Bezeau: What is in the check list? What are they looking for? What’s the installer looking for when he’s going through it?
Terry Bobiak: He’ll go through it and he’ll show you how to remove the screens, he will show you how to operate the keys with hardware or to remove a slider, remove a double hang sash, anything that is operable in the window, you will get shown on how it works.
Tracy Bezeau: Oh, so you’re going to reeducating me on my windows that I just bought.
Terry Bobiak: Yes and if you forget, you can come back into the showroom; we’ll give you another demonstration as well.
Tracy Bezeau: Oh I like that. Where can somebody go to get more information?
Terry Bobiak: You can visit one of our showrooms in Hamilton or Burlington. Give us a call or visit our website at qsiwindows.com
Tracy Bezeau: Well thank you very much Terry.
Terry Bobiak: You’re welcome.
Tracy Bezeau: For more information, go to either one of the two locations or check out their website. I am Tracy Bezeau and you’ve been watching Daily Web TV.
