Hello, and welcome to your Knee Pain Questions Answered, Week 8, my name is Bill Parravano. I have a question here from Steve that says, his knee is full of pain all the time. When he pulls back on his knees, he can make them pop, kneeling on the floor and arching back can do this as well. When my knee is painful I can pop it once and the knee feels better. Any ideas?
Absolutely. What you are looking at is the tension pattern that your nervous system takes on to protect your knees from a knee injury. Meaning, your body, your knee specifically tense up to protect itself when it experiences pain. That's functional for the injury or the experience of pain, however, it isn't functional for you to go back into your life and sit and stand and walk without the discomfort in your knees. So what needs to happen is addressing that tension pattern that builds up in the nervous system.
When you pop your knees what's happening is that tension is being released and your knee is going back to the way it wants to. So I am working on a Members Area of my website, thekneepainguru.com, that is going to address all of these different questions that you have, and a program that you can follow to be able to address the different types of issues you have regarding your knee pain.
Lots of water is going to help too. The more water you can drink, the water lubricates your joint, and it's going to help with the tension in there, the pain and the discomfort that you are experiencing in the knee joint itself.
So Steve, thank you for your question, appreciate it very much. As well as, if you have a question out there that you would like to ask, please feel free to email it to me, Bill@TheKneePainGuru.com. You can send it to me and I will answer it in this video format as best I can.
So thank you very much, and I will see you next week. Bye, bye.
