The New Audi Q5 SUV

The Audi Q5 celebrated it's world premier mid April at the 2008 Auto China in Beijing. According to Audi the new Audi Q5 combines the dynamics of a sports sedan with a highly variable interior and a variety of options for recreation and family use. This SUV has completely new proportions. The Audi Q5 measures 4 meter 66 in length, I meter 88 wide and stands only one meter 65 tall. These are quite sporty dimensions and are still very young market segment. Strong and efficient engines permit Quadra all wheel drive and a nimble chassis are the features that make it fascinating on and off road. Large wheels and rising edges characterize the side view of the car, the elegant roof line emphasizes the svelte Coupe like styling. At the back we find the wrap around trunk lid as an indication of it's kinship to it's larger brother the Audi Q7. The long wheel base leads to a generous amount of space inside the Audi Q5, the seats have been conceived to be flexible and ergonomic. The trunk is variable and can fit up to 1560 liters of cargo. Beneath the cargo floor there is an additional storage compartment. At launch there will be three engines to power the Audi Q5 a gasoline version and two TDIs. All imply direct injection technology combine with turbo charging. Their output ranges from 170 horse power for the 2.0 TDI to the 2.0 TFSI with 211 horse power, right on up to the 3.0 TDI V6 with 240 horse power.
