Patti Moreno: So yesterday I showed you how to spin your own hand-spun yarn using exotic wool. And I have been working all evening to finish this scarf for you and I have got just one more row to do. Look at it, look how beautiful it is. I love it, and my little Angora puffs of clouds are coming through. I love the little imperfections, I love the randomness of the pattern and I am very close to being done.
If you are making a scarf for a child you want it to be at least 40 inches long and if it's going to be for an adult you want it to be at least 48 inches long. If that's not long enough for you, what I usually do is I will add tassels to the end of the scarf and that will make up the legs on it, if you want it to be longer.
Now when you are making a scarf like this you can make at any width you want. I am only using up the yarn that I spun on one Bobin yesterday. I am not going to make it any thicker than that. Now with the scarf like this because we are using the exotic fiber, its extra super warm and extra soft. So if it was going to be really thick that might be too hot for a normal average person to wear around. So when I am using Angora, I definitely don't want to make it too thick.
Alright, so I am done with this row. And I have my last row and that's a bind-off row. I have got my first two stitches here that I have knit and then I just drop one so what I do is I just knit and then I take that second stitch and put it over the last stitch that I just knit. So I am going to knit one, take that other stitch little bit it over and now I am binding off. Oh! It looks so beautiful. And when you are binding off you want to make sure that you are loosely binding off, you don't want to tighten it too much.
One of the things I love about making my own hand-spun yarn and then making garments out of it is that they are really unique, they are one of a kind, and something that you will not see duplicated anywhere else because it was made by me. I like to leave a relatively long tail and that just makes it easier to weave into the scarf.
Look at my scarf, I love it, I think its beautiful. I am going to put it on myself, now this was for me. Actually I kind of like the length. I can make a little kind of tie thing. Okay, how do you tie a tie? Alright. Wrap it around again I am being told, and then bring it through here, and then I got a tuck it in here. And I have got my own little tie here.
Try this scarf on. Oh! Beautiful on you. Look at it. You look good. Give me a high five. It's not the same, actually --

Patty Moreno: They are related. Well, the scarf is so versatile, look we have a got a little head band, it can be worn like a necktie, or just a scarf around her neck.
