Steve Cropley: I am very proud on behalf of my magazine Auto Car down there and of course on behalf of my colleagues on the Car of the Year Jury to be able to visit your extremely impressive assembly plant today and congratulate you on your key role in helping Insignia win the 2009 Car of the Year award. I guess you are aware you have just won the most important accolade for any car in the world. I hope you know that because that -
The standards set by this year's contender was higher than ever which I suppose is why it was one of the most difficult decisions I can remember but we came to the right one that's the main thing.
Finally, let me congratulate you further on the fine quality standards you have been achieving right across the GM Europe range. My colleagues and I know a little of the new products that some of you are already working on and we look forward to accessing them for Car of the Year in due course, may be you can win again soon
Ray Hutton: When casting their votes jury members remarked on the big step forward than Insignia represents for Opel, a leap in design and quality and innovation and normally at this point we applaud the company's bosses but this time we are able to congratulate all of you, the men and women who made the Insignia Car of the Year 2009

Carl-Peter Forster: I would like to thank you sincerely for this award, and I think you get a feeling of how proud we are, how proud all of us are. It's done on very thorough assessment by the most well-known, renowned professional and experienced Auto journalist in Europe, and it shows that obviously, we have put together some thing quite extra ordinary, and it's this team that has done it and I would like to thank first in English then in German this team. Nova (ph) made a statement when he discussed the Insignia that he has never seen so much passion in the Opel than with the Insignia, and I think this is definitely true. With this car, we wanted to show what this team is capable of doing so again thank you very from my side to the jury
Hans.H.Demant: I have to say we are proud of being awarded from you tonight and I have to also say that I am very proud that you all came tonight to celebrate with us. This is also a very special recognization for us so thank you very much
