The Piano Key Mechanism

This is the piano key mechanism taken out from the piano so that we can illustrate much more clearly how the piano operates in terms of one key. Here is the key that the piano would depress normally. When the key is depressed, this piece of wood would trigger a system of levers on the other side. So when I depress the key, what happens is this piece of wood raises as this raised, it throws the hammer up to hit the string.
Once the string is hit, a sound is created. And now note that the damper is elevated, this allows the string to continue to vibrate of course this is only an illustrated model so the string has stop vibrating. But considering that if it’s still vibrating, once I let go of the key—as I let go, the dumper would descend and the sound would be stopped. Let me do it again, when I press it throws the hammer, creates a sound and once I release, the dampers depress.
