Tanisha: Hi! I am Tanisha Williamson from Corona, California, and I would like to know how soon after stopping a pill does it take ovulate. Ram Parvataneni: That's a great question Tanisha. For most women the return to ovulation after stopping the pills is actually very fast. Some studies have shown that this can be as soon as two weeks after stopping the pills. The most important factor is really the pattern of ovulation, and the pattern of your menstruation before starting the pills. If you are having regular periods and regular ovulating before starting the pills, then once stopping the pills you return to ovulation is usually very fast.
